After learning so much about apples, the students got to help chop apples so that we could make applesauce! We used a slow cooker recipe from a food blog called Pioneer Woman which included apples, lemon, brown sugar, apple juice, and cinnamon! It was a success, and many of the children loved it! Bowls were practically licked clean. Parents, if you'd like, you can try making applesauce with your child at home during this fall break. It's very easy to do!
