After learning about the nursery rhyme, Humpty Dumpty, we held a classroom experiment to see if a real (egg) Humpty Dumpty would break if we dropped him on cloth, cotton balls, paper, or the floor. The children made guesses on what they would think and then colored the results of the experiment on a recording sheet. Then we colored, cut, and glued our own Humpty Dumpty puzzle to “put Humpty back together again!”
