If you've never seen a Woodbury Musical, you have no idea what you are missing! For the past several years, Ms. Bonnie Barlow, an IUSD Parent Volunteer of the Year, and her amazing crew, volunteer countless hours to help put together a phenomenal school musical. Over the years, the shows have featured Fiddler on the Roof, The King and I, The Seussical, Peter Pan, South Pacific, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Guys and Dolls, Shrek, Aladdin, Annie, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Beauty and the Beast, School of Rock, and many more. Sadly, Ms. Bonnie passed away recently, but her great legacy lives on through Woodbury’s musical and the incredibly talented and dedicated volunteers.
This year the show was titled, "Practically Perfect Fairy Tales," and featured Mary Poppins and Shrek. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the kids who perform in the show. They are amazing, dedicated, and so talented. Students in the primary grades participate in the primary choir, while students in 4th through 6th grades perform on the main stage (I love seeing Mrs. Dyer's alumni performing on stage).
All of the tickets for the performances sold out so quickly! Honestly, if you have yet to watch a spring musical, you MUST get tickets to watch it next year. If your child enjoys performing, they really should audition for a part in the primary choir (grades 1-3). It is a spectacular opportunity!
Special shout out to Mrs. Dyer's Room 31 alumni who performed on-stage and back-stage this year!
