Families Forward is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1984. This organization assists families in financial crisis to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency. Many of the families seeking help from Families Forward are families who have just lost their homes. As part of their mission, one of the biggest concerns for Families Forward is the well-being of the children. Families Forward has 28 transitional homes, and their food pantry, which is located in Irvine, provides food to more than 5,000 people each year!

Woodbury Elementary is a supporter of Families Forward; and this year, we are asking our Woodbury families to participate in their food drive. Their food pantry shelves are running low. This is the time for Woodbury families to take the LEAD. Each grade level has been assigned a particular type of food. We will be collecting food beginning September 11th - 15th. When you go grocery shopping this week, please consider picking up items from the list below, and send it to school this week. It will be a greatly appreciated act of kindness!
