If you've never seen a Woodbury Musical, you have no idea what you are missing! Many years ago, the musical program was started by Ms. Bonnie Barlow, an IUSD Parent Volunteer of the Year, and her amazing crew. Now, the program is led by Ms. Armi Abiera, director of the Irvine Theatre Company. Her creative team and a small army of parent volunteers put in countless hours to help put together a phenomenal school musical. This year, the show featured Matilida! In the past we have seen Shrek, The Little Mermaid, Hairspray, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and The Music Man.

If you thought the third grade History of Orange County play was a hit, then the spring musical is that times ten! This year, the musical even featured Mrs. Snyder and Mr. Finley as part of the cast.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the kids who perform in the show. They are amazing and so talented. Students in first and second grades participate in the Jr. Ensemble, while students in 3rd through 6th grades perform on stage.

I am so proud of Ellie, Hailey, Kaitlyn for performing in the Ensemble on stage. Honestly, if you have yet to watch a spring musical, you MUST watch it next year. And if your child enjoys performing, they really should audition for a part in the musical. It is a spectacular opportunity!
