We had such a great last week of school! We had the annual carnival (where several Room 14 students thought it’d be a good idea to “flush the tank” on Mrs. Dyer), a class party with the silliest game using pool noodles (thank you, Mrs. Chan, Mrs. Wang, and Ms. Kumi), a walking field trip to Cypress Grove park (thank you, Ms. Joy, Mrs. Samson, Mr. Ishida, and Ms. Megan for walking with us; and thank you, Mrs. Wang, for driving the student lunch bags over!), signed yearbooks, cheered for either the teachers or the 6th graders during the annual kickball game (teachers won, of course!), took our last day of school photos, cheered for the promoting 6th graders, had a pizza party, and had our last special play time with our PK Buddies.

Binder portfolios were officially sent home today— they contain countless memories and the evidence of your child’s hard work since the start of the school year. Take some time to go through the work with your child, and ask them to tell you about what they remember from the assignment.

It’s hard to believe that a whole school year has already passed. It was such a spectacular year, and I will miss this class very much. I hope each family has a wonderful summer break. We will see you all back as fourth graders in July!
